Lots of rabbits, arthritis in the knees made it pretty tough to get out
Depending on were you were to. Lots of rabbits out home this year.
Been a hard year for rabbit hunting..
Hopefully the conditions improve.
Good luck
I didn't even consider that. If the trail isn't broken, or at least broken in the last few weeks, I don't think we will have much luck even with snow shoes either. Unless you're a real pro at it, which I am not. Even going on skidoo isn't the best, you run the risk of going up to your armpits when you step off of the machine, which my kid found out a few weeks ago when we went for a boil up lol.
It's just one of those years I guess, shame though because we've had a lot of nice days for getting out. I've been out of the hinting scene for a while now since having kids and I'm dying to get them out at it with me. I'm looking forward to introducing them to some ice fishing and maybe some rabbit hunting a little later if the conditions improve before the season ends.
To much snow in this way to get in the woods at it and snowshoes are not much use where we hunt.
Agreed. I haven’t even see many alive or dead along the highway while driving in the evenings, let alone in the trails while hunting. I’m soon going to consider snaring and even that isn’t great in this area (Gander Bay) this year. This must be what they mean when you hear talk about their cycles.
This has to be the worst rabbit season I can ever remember.
Dog Pete picked up. She is some hunter.
