Hi fred they are definateli disintergrating as the taget at 15yds was peppered with tiny iregular holes, i find the ballistic tip 50grn flies real good and will stick to them give me a call when you go to the range i live in holyrood so would like to meet. 229 0354
i put it to the chrono and got 3840fps but as there was no difinable bullet who knows.that was with 34.5grns of im4895 , if i use my ballistic tip bullets i get 3200 fps and a good group at 100yds and 200yds
These guys are not guides.I'm don't think that a non-resident requires a licensed guide. We were checked by a local conservation officer and guide was not mentioned. On PEI you need to be with either locals or an outfitter to gain access to the privately owned fields. We saw a lot of geese, not all of which were coming to our field and setup. It is a real rush to have a large flock of canada geese checking out the decoy spread from a respectable distance. The noise they make as they make passes over the decoys really gets the heart rate up.
I hunt the eastern end of the island. There were lots of geese in the area of St. Peters and Cardigan road.We hunted corn, potato, and grain and shot geese in each .The people I hunt with manage their fields very well-shoot a few flocks and then leave. If the flock is really large they will not shoot it.I should emphasize that these friends are not outfitters but a group of fishermen who really like to hunt geese. They tell me that during the last week of the season they will shoot whatever comes in.I'm fortunate to have met these people -very nice-and have been invited to return for a hunt next year.I look forward to it.
Hi Fred, I was thinking about planning a goose /duck hunting trip this November around the eastern Ontario region I was wondering if you could give me some heads up on some good outfitters.
