Hey everyone, just throwing out a question so I can get some feedback! I'm looking to purchase a boat for cod fishing in the summer and turr hunting in the winter. I want a boat that's clean in the water and can handle the wind and swell. I'm leaning towards a seabreeze package but would like to also hear about Ocean Fisher and Sea Serpant as well! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
I'm not fussy on boats with a keel. I find the boat cuts running off a swell in a following sea. You are always correcting left or right. Not bad if you are using a tiller you can correct it pretty fast and easy buy it takes a little more effort with a steering wheel.
I've seen a couple of boats with a deep keel having to wait for the tide to come in at O'Donnell's to put the boat on the trailer. While other boats mine included floated into the trailer and loaded up.
Well everyone that has a coastal boat swears by them. They are high end rough water boats. That was my first choice but for a 19 walk thru package it's 10 grand + tax more then a seabreeze. But it would be a dream to have.
I've had both as well. One with a keel and now the Coastal. The coastal boat is by far the steadier boat, it doesn't even roll. I found the older style round keel boat very cranky. No comparison to the older style boat to the new v bottom. They are stable, solid and clean.
No debating that they have amazing reviews. Anyone looking at these boats visit coastline Adventures website or fb. They have about 100 reviews from customers on their site and lots more on Facebook.
Anyone else have any experience with other boats? Buddy of mine has a 16' Ocean Fisher. He likes it. Finds it a clean boat. I think he is selling it later the spring to buy a w/t. Not sure what brand he is looking at.
