I am looking at doing a one month survival trip in Ontario in the fall. More game there.   (One month, walk in with a day pack and a gun or two.)  I am planning on bringing in a 30-06 for larger game and if we get large game like a deer we will dry the meat.  But for small game, which is what most of these trips rely on, I want something smaller.  What would you recommend?  .22LR/20 guage. Or just a .22

I will need a reliable small game gun.  Any suggestions?

H&R 12 gauge single shot 2-3/4 and 3' very light, easy to take apart and use the 3' for a duck or two. Oh Cheap to.

Any body use the Ruger 10/22 take down gun.   Not sure what the 10 stands for.  Nice little gun that comes apart.  Wondering about accuracy again.

The Shot gun idea is a realistic suggestion.  Single shot and take apart.
