Cod from a kayak??

Hello everyone, 

I've been searching forums and maps and facebook pages for the past several weeks as I'm prepping for the summer. 

I would like to know if anyone here fishes for cod from their kayaks? Maybe smaller boats?

If any of you have any suggestions for me, please feel free to chime in. I'm not looking for secret spots or anything, maybe just sheltered bays that may/may not have cod in there. Safety is really my main concern.

I've included a few pics of fish I have caught from my kayak in the past few years in Alaska.
