diving ducks

We have about 15 diving ducks in the pond by the cabin. I would like to know what kind of ducks they are and if they eat trout. They are black with white wings.

If I was to guess Paul I say there white wing divers / golden eyes but hard to tell without a pic

No I don't have a picture, couldn't get close to them. I will try to get a good look at them next weekend. There was only 4 there last week but I was told there is 15 there now.

Look online (google) and see if any match the ones you seen in the pond.
