I am originally from Point May on the tip of the Burin Peninsula and I moved back to the rock from Alberta a couple of years ago to Torbay. I am looking for some hints an where to hunt freshwater ducks in the area. and also do people hunt for sea ducks and turrs around the north east avalon and if so where are some good places to go.

There are loads of Spots for Ducks on the Avalon. But, do to the high volume of people they are quickly filling up. The best tip is to use a program like google earth to locate hidden ponds to hunt in. Pm me and I will give you a little better response as to some better choices (can't give away all my secrets, LOL). As for sea ducks and turrs, the southern shore (from witless bay on) are ideal and out around st. mary's bay. Hope this helps a bit, Ed
