Who thinks that joe should get charged with shooting a wolf. He just may yet.

This is absolute non-sense, there is no reason for Joe to be charged. We all know that our coyotes have been bred with wolves from the mainland some more than others, there hasn't been a wolf shot here since the 30's, so you would automatically assume that it was just a real big coyote. If someone had to shoot another "really big coyote" knowing there are wolves here; Yes they should be charged for poaching. I would have taken the shot just the same as many many more hunters. Never mind what went on anywhere else, some of you guys got nothing else to be at.
Joe should get off! I mean it would be one thing if we had wolves and yotes on the island portion.... and if there was a pack of wolves....but this was a solitary wolf on an island were wolves are extinct! it would be like someone shooting a barren ground caribou thinking it was a woodland caribou on the island... I know it's a bit of a stretch but do you see my point? This wolf was "not the norm" being solitary and way out of his normal range, heck even the experts thought it was a coyote. Yes as hunters we are responsible for our actions and what happens when we pull the trigger, and yes there is a law against dogs in areas out of season to protect HUNTERS and WILDLIFE and FAMILY PETS from such accidents. This debate could go on but I think Joe should get off!
