Processing hunting license?

My wife wants to get her hunting license so she can put in for a moose tag.  How long does it take to get the license once you are finished the course? 

And is there anywhere else to take the course besides CONA?

Cona is the only place that I know of. In smaller towns it can be held in local schools. I believe if you have completed the course by August you will be eligible to enter the next big game draw. So you would enter in the spring and the draw takes place in the summer. How soon you would get a license depends on where you apply and how many people apply for the area. Hope this helps.

I got mine the second fall after completing my courses. Depends on the area your applying. I could be wrong but I think I had to be done the course before that November to apply the following fall. This was back in 2009 tho not sure if it is still that way.
