Putting my dog down

Sad but true my old dog is going to have to be put down in the next little while so I thought I would ask the question while I am not too emotional about it..... how much do it cost to have a vet euthanize the dog for me?  I  put my own dog down last time, couldn't afford to have it done,  but I won't do that again, it was harder than I thought it would be.

It depends on the weight I do believe. Contact your local humane society and see if they can help. Each municipal area has a pound, they may be able to help.

Kevin I would either call a vet and ask the price or make an appointment and bring the dog in to be checked. Most vets will want to see the dog before they will euthanize.

Thanks.... yes I called the Vet... $90 to euthanize.  More if you want them to dispose of the body and more if you want to keep the ashes and so on.
