A man who works on the Bull Arm fabrication site says people in the area have discovered some unwanted visitors. Three raccoons have been spotted ripping up garbage at the camp, causing a mess for many who work there. The critters, which are not native to the island, have also been seen in the work site itself. They are believed to have come over in cargo shipped from the mainland.

CBS.. Two weeks before it was announced..about 1 in the morning..Said to wife it looked alot like a raccoon but there are none in Newfoundland.

wow in cbs i live in that way to

I hate racoons.  They are a nuisance, eat bird eggs, mostly rip up garbage, get into your cabins and make a mess and yes rabies is a real concern here.  To hell with hunting these things, nobody eats them and will do this island no good.

I would love to see deer introduced to this island.
