Spraying of Chemical(s) on sides of highways in NL

I was recently informed that there is spraying program on sides of the highways in NL, they are using one chemical called tordon 101 often referred to as "agent white" which is detrimental to aquatic life and mammals, I have lots of questions about this practice, here are a few. Is anyone aware of which areas are being sprayed ? is there a buffer zone around rivers ? do the correct weather conditions for spraying have to be observed as suggested with these chemicals ? what is the affect on ground water ? what department is monitoring this ?

Havnt hear anything about this before, seems like somthing that needs to be looked at .

Never heard of it, but would like to hear more of what is on the go with ti and who is doing the spraying.

NF vegetation control group is spraying, to my knowledge they are spraying from Argentia access roasd right through to North Harbour river (where they were cutting back on the highways), my buddy has more info, I will see if I can get further info.
