First time big game hunters, entering the draw in Pool 8. Why is this the case? My son done his course 4 years ago and now that he turned 18 this past year he as to wait for atleast another 3 years to hunt moose in our area. I thought they were trying to get more young people interested in hunting?

It seems you start in pool 8. Funny thing is the year after you get a license you go back to pool 9 then skip 8 and go straight to 7. If you apply for a party license and you are successful in getting a license. The next year you go back to pool 8 and start again. Don't make sense, on the second year both single and party apps are in pool 7. Good luck with it. My son just went through the same thing. However he did get a license the second year. 4 point bull in 36.
