A three-year-old child has been sent to hospital following an ATV crash in Natuashish. At approximately 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon, the RCMP responded to the accident scene. An ATV had crashed into a light pole. The 23-year-old female driver had attempted to pass a garbage truck when she went off the road and into a ditch, striking the pole. The driver was carrying her three-year-old son on the back of the machine when the accident happened. The child was airlifted to Goose Bay, and the driver suffered minor injuries. Police say the boy is expected to fully recover.
