ATV USE...
ATV use is restricted mostly in wetland areas including bogs, marshes, and barrens. In such areas, travel by ATV's is permitted only on a trail approved by the Department of Environment and Conservation.
The penalties for violations of the regulations
Penalties range from fines of between $100.00 and $500.00, or between fifteen (15) and sixty (60) days in jail, depending on the offense. A person convicted of an offense may also be ordered to restore the land to the satisfaction of the Minister.

ATV Accident Claims Man's Life
A 52-year old man from the Goulds died after an ATV accident on the weekend. Police say it happened in Deer Park around 11:30 Friday night, and officers arrived to find the ATV in the ditch. The man was found underneath the machine, and had already passed away. There is no word on the cause of the crash.

The Mayor Woodrow French of CBS, is having a meeting with reguards to atv use in the community. The mayor is totaly against atv use.
I think it would be a good idea for as many atv users to be there as possible, to see what Mr French has to say. I am all for working together for safe and responsible use of the trail system.
