West coast sporting dogs?

Hi, we are expecting a German Shorthaired Pointer for mid may, and as you can imagine, are very excited. We were wondering if there was anyone on the west coast who hunts with dogs? Would love to get her socialized. Exposure to gunfire is made a lot easier with already non gun shy dogs as well. We're in the CB area.
