Hi Guys,
Just starting to get into coyote hunting and with the season opening this coming weekend i was looking for some tips on getting one.
I'm picking up my new rifle today as well as a foxpro wildfire caller. I'm going with a savage 22-250 with bi-pod and a bushnell scope.
I live in Kelligrews rigth now and have heard reports of coyotes in back of foxtrap so thats where i plan on doing some hunting. anyone from the same area ever try there?
any tips on methods or good hunting locations on the avalon would be great

Tony and I have hunted the back of foxtrap with no luck. We got one there. The location and the open ground is just not there. You need to go to Witeless bay line, lots of open gound and lots of coyote's. Don't get me wrong you may get one if you are lucky enough. But on opening day that is where i would be. I think that your face is one of the biggest think's to cover up. Any movement of the head, just a slite turn can make a coyote run. Don't set up in the sky light, MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IN DEAD ON. I have the same gun 22-250 and you will love it as do I. Good luck and i hope you bag a coyote. The coyote Admin is from up that way as well. Hope this helps.
Resist the urge to hunt when its windy. They'll windy you alooooong way out.
What about in off of pasture lands rd? I’ve driven through there a few times on ATV and it seems like it would be a good place to try.
where abouts on witeless bay line?
