Today, March 12, on CBC news, a coyote was near Paradise Elementary school. There is footage of the coyote running around inside a chain link fence. Wildlife officers were called, and they were using loud noises to run it off. What scared me is that the coyote was so close to our kids. I do believe that the animal was there looking for food. Yes, I know there is a 10 month season on coyotes, but here are some of my thoughts.
1. Do you think the season should be longer?
2. What do you think about night hunts for the coyote?
3. Should trapping be allowed for coyote year round?
Yes, Yes & NO, No because fox and lynx are rearing their youngins and you could lose the whole litters if the adult is killed.
I think the bounty should be raised considering the amount of money wildlife is wasting on coyote research when the animal has been researched to death. I'd like to know how much money they have spent on this research, I've seen many pics of coyotes shot with tracking collars.
I'm not impressed with wildlife trying to brainwash hunters into thinking coyotes don't hunt in packs only family units which is a pack!
