I spoke with Dept. of wildlife this morning and they tell me that shotguns may be used for coyote hunting all through the coyote season right up to July 7th 2012. If we felt that opening the coyote season approximately one week before the waterfowl season because there are many who will poach waterfowl with the shotgun " don't look now " but this continues right up until the close of the coyote hunting season in July. I personally think that this needs to change to give at least some protection to waterfowl and other small game species .At the same time .22 Rime Fire rifles cannot be used when small game seasons close. I suppose that makes sense to someone , but wildlife can't seem to explain it. I know that poachers will poach with whatever firearm they can carry but does it have to be made so &%&&%# easy for them. Sorry for the confusion but apparently The Dept. of Wildlife is confused also.

Confused.... I agree.. I an not against wildlife one bit,, but half the time I am wary even if I am fully legal. Ive seen it many times, they try to find something wrong or assume you are doing something wrong. I can give personal examples but I dont want to bore everyone.
