Just wondering what everybody's favorite accessory is in their camper? For me it would have to be the kuerig coffee machine. If you are a coffee drinker it can't get any easier for a good cup of…Continue

http://www.destinationrvresortnl.ca/ . Seems I forgot one dot. This is the working link.
Ok, I've tried adding the link twice now and both times it won't work! Just google destination rv resort nl and click on the site that says something about google map. If anybody else can make the link work, it would be appreciated. I will try again later.
Just a note to let everyone know that the website for the new rv park at the Avondale exit is up and running. The link is http://wwwdestinationrvresortnl.ca/ . Prices are not posted yet but I'm sure will be soon to follow. I only had a quick look at the site but I believe all 300 sites are for seasonal campers only. If so that would be a shame, we need more sites for the "weekend warriors ". It does look like it will be a nice place when completed though.
Hi everbody, Dave here. I would like to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. My family used to own a trailer park in northern Ontario back in the 80s and thats when I really got into camping. I thoroughly enjoy the whole camping experience, but have given up on tenting a long time ago. Which is just fine as far as my wife is concerned. Now our camper is more luxurious than our home, but what the heck, you only live once! My first one was an old Bison slide in that I would carry around with an old Chevy 1/2 ton. Was an awesome rig for getting in off the beaten path. Fall camping in Algonquin Park was always an excellent adventure with the boys and beers. ( and the odd sideways cigarette ). Those days are long gone now but thats OK. Now it's a whole new adventure. Anyways I am looking foward to hearing from all of you. Hope everyone got their rigs winterized in time, and let me know if I'm the only one camping all winter. And if anybody has any questions feel free to ask, if I don't have an answer I'm sure somebody else does. Hell, probably have some questions myself. Have a good one, keep your load on the road, and don't let your meatloaf!
Traded in my Springdale for a Montana High Country 5th wheel. Fully insulated for 4 season use. Camping all winter at a trailer park out in Makinsons for only a $100. Would cost more than that to put it into storage for the winter.
That's good info Dave.
New RV park opening at Avondale exit off of TCH. Should open next summer. Approximately 150 serviced sites. No rates available yet. Website should be up near end of September, when it does the seasonal sites will go fast. You can email them to be put on a first come first serve list if interested. Considering the approximate wait at Gushue pond of 5 years for a site that won't be beside the pond, well worth sending an email while not many know about this place. Its going to be called Destinations RV Resort. Their email is: louise-john@hotmail.com
Thinking about going camping on salmonier line this weekend and trying some salmon fishing for the first time in NL. Can anybody point me to a good spot to try?
