In the south they eat them (Louisianna and Mississipi) dont think they eat them in western canada Of course I think we are the only province that eats Mergansers

I think it's a coot we used kill lots of them in alberta, they stink when you clean them.

This is an American Coot. Not native here but they come here occasionally. Lots of them in the States.
