Wounded, a coyote will invariably head for the thick stuff. Here the trail goes into gnarly stand of trees.( I am getting too old for this stuff)

This was the first, he busted out other side where Chase ran him down and fought him into the next stand of timber about a kilometer away. Where the coyote cornered himself under a wind fall.

Chase pinned him down in a barkfest until I finally got there.
