I What I meant is that usually when an animal is snared the water in its head will usually go into its lips and make them puffy. Years of trapping is how I know . thanks for info.

No it wasn't snared by the lips lol... Its head was swelled from the slip it was alive when we arrived..were thinking 2-3 yrs..My son will be sending it away to the NAFA in March

Thats a different coyote. Where did you get it. Looks like it was snared by its lips, was it? How old do you think it is? Did you notice the color of its eyes? Nice one for taxidermy! Are you selling it? If so how much? Good job
