THe black or common scoter is a small bird compared to the Surf and whitewing scoter it could possibly be a common but not definate from the pic.

Beautiful Golden eye. They are my favoritorite bird to hunt.
Not sure about the other but its not a ring neck. Looks small for a scoter

Could also be a juevenile male goldeneye, hard to tell from the pic but definatly not a ringneck. But the two white spots on the cheeks suggest scoter to me .

Yes some people also call them sleepy divers as well .

i guess so buy i was told it was a ringneck, i though it was a smokie diver.different communities got different names on birds,

I believe the hen bird is a juvenile scoter.
