Response to David Pretty inquiry...about 15 to 20 knots.

It is not obvious from this photo, but  the boat has a spray curtain that is raised when motoring into the wind or when decoying ducks when the winds are up. Yes it could handle 15 knots, but the spray curtain would have to be raised(I use 3 sticks to hold the spray curtain in place). With 20 knots you would get a little water over you. I would not recommend being out in 20 knot winds with this boat, unless the winds were offshore and/or you were in a sheltered bay. Try and set up where the you are in the lund. With the spray curtain raised, you can tow this boat behind a tender boat in 20 knot winds. You can make a cover to go over the cockpit to keep the water from entering the boat. I use a large spounge to remove any water that gets into the boat.

Brendan hello.

 Our eider duck decoys are made oversize, about twice the size of a regular decoy. They are meant to be attention getters. I rig them on two pieces of one inch rough boards(about 4 to 5 inch width), with one piece on the front and one on the back. The front piece is longer than the back piece by about 3-4 inches. They are generally about 30 inch long boards, so the front may be 32 inches and back piece 28 inches. I use screws to attach the decoys to the boards. they are meant to stack, one inside of the other. To accomplish this stackability, each decoy set is constructed a little shorter than the previous set (how much depends on the thickness of your decoy material). Drill holes in the boards to attach the string for setting them. Sometimes they do flip over, but we have learned to live with that. These are the best decoys I have for eider hunting. Good luck.

By the looks of things you guys realy know what your doing !
Think you can explain how you did the eider sleds ? i have the sillouets redy to put on i just dont know how to rig them.
