Hello and welcome to the site. There are many paces to hunt around the Avalon. With moose season starting up, there will be gut piles and such left all over the place. Wide open areas and a little marksmanship comes in handy. I have been to a number of areas and have seen lots of sign but have only managed to take one female last January out on route 100.
Learn lots about their habits and read all that you can because when it comes to hunting, not everyone tells stories based on fact. As with hunting any animal, if you are not in the field, then you can't take a shot. Get out there and make a few calls. If nothing comes by within 30 minutes, then move down the road another kilometre and try again.
Sight in your gun and get yourself a range finder. If you can tag a coyote effectively out to 3 or 400 yards, then you will find success. Best of luck to you and welcome to the site. It is great place to learn. P
