I just added you as a friend maybe that'll help with the messaging problem. To answer your question, I fish mostly on the Southern Avalon, but I have done some fishing out near Harbor Grace (The Motion/South River). I've caught my biggest brook trout closer to town, near Butter Pot Park in a little hole I found on a river, but my biggest sea run brookies on the Burin Peninsula, 3 in the span of 20 mins each of them 5+ lbs, but haven't seen anything that big since and that was 5 yrs ago.
I have two flies that I used for Brown Trout on The Avalon which are very successful when I fish with plug and flies. In fact I was using them today and both patterns were has good has ever.I hooked and released 26 fish all around 10-12 inches. There were many strikes and rises and non-stop action for about 2 hours. The patterns are my own and I will share them with you if you call me at 782 8904.
On behalf of the site Administrators, I would like to welcome you to the site, Brandon! Feel free to add your hunting and fishing photos! If you have any questions please feel free to ask anyone here. People here are really helpful and knowledgeable. Cheers, Ed
