New to duck hunting so just inquiring about a few things.

Went to coastal looking for black duck decoys but they didn't have any. So I bought mallards, is this still alright?

Would people recommend making your own blind or buying one?

Thanks

I like to build one from natural wood and trees 8th the area, blends in better. Mallards are OK, you can find black duck decoys at Walmart for $5 each. They work well. Canadian tire has them on sale sometimes but better off with Walmart. Much cheaper. Using a duck call with the decoys work very well together.
