is ptarmigan numbers on the way back up ???

While on my ATV i seen 7 ptarmigan in a area that i never seen them there in years.

am in the area a lot and i must say that seeing a few brids around is a good sign.

is any one eles seeing a few ptarmigan in areas that you never seen there in years ?

Seen one in on the woods road on saturday. Its the first I ever saw around home.

Short answer is yes, I've seen (and heard) quite a few in a certain area, but I'm hesitant to say where.
