I know this might be a long shot but I'll try anyways. First year at the turrs and I'm just looking for a few spots on the avalon with some decent boat launches that I could go for a look. I don't want anyone to tell me where there are turrs. [e-mail]

Coming out of placentia there is a sand bar on the left where you enter the bay. There is the red island sunken. There is bouy marking it but that is a bad one.

2 places to launch in St Marys, 1, O'Donnel's, they have a slipway it's not finished but use-able. 2nd Riverhead nice cement launch there. 

Placentia Bay, 2 places to launch, 1 in Placentia it's self, right by the wharf they have a launch there but most launch at the end of it in the gravel. Ice builds up on the wooden launch and can be dangerous.

Argentia Naval base launch off the beach perfect launch there to.
