Just ranting about people's hatred and fear towards the coyote.

I have to Agree with you Mr. Leyte. The "bounty" as it is referred to is merely, as you have indicated an incentive to return the carcass to the Wildlife Division. Likewise, Your statements are very informative and correct. However coyotes came to this province, they are here to stay. That much is for sure. I guess the only benefit of having them is that it just provides another avenue for hunters to enjoy a wonderful sporting opportunity, and to get out more.
Hopefully, with more and more hunters getting out in the field after these coyotes, we maybe able to reduce any negative impact that they are having on our Caribou herds or other species in the province. The Coyote is a formidable predator, and an amazing survivor and expansionist. And, as such, should demand respect and admiration, and not the reputation as the "Hounds from Hell" as you put it. But, that does not mean we should give up and allow this invasive species to take over the province and doing little to nothing about it either, it just means the more we know about this species the better we are at controlling it. And, remember they may not be the "hounds from hell", but they are dangerous. we should not promote fear and label this animal as a cold blood killer, but we can not on the in the same breath promote apathy! Remember, they have attacked humans & have even killed them (although this extreme is very, very remote). Just my 2 cents, EdBlue Water Marine & Equipment Ltd.
