 I always leave the rabbit on the ground when I shoot it so the dog will know I got it. The pic was taken about 2 min. after I fired the shot , The dog just gave it a sniff and a lick and went on, I had to call him back to pose for the pic lol the leash helped keep him there . I never owned a dog that would eat the rabbit , but I did have one that would take the rabbit and hid it in the woods if I didn't get to it. Sounds to me that you have some pretty good dogs there yourself Kenneth. It's really a pleasure to hunt with dogs like that.

That's a nice dog you have there to. Good to hear you got that rabbit. The faster you get it the better the dog for the day. Do your dog try to eat the rabbit befor you get to it?? I hear alot of people say that if you don't get there befor the dog the rabbit will be eaten. Our dogs are not like that. When the rabbit is dead they go and look for another. They will also hold the rabbit in there mouth untill you get there, one will hold and the other two will sit and waite.

LOL Right on Kenneth, that's why I cut the video short. I got the rabbit by the way I don't usually miss twice lol.

Albert i love that sound of a dog on a rabbit, bring a tear to a glass eye.
