Oct 4, 2008 shell caught. Lots of teal ducks
I was sneaking up to another pond where on my left i had heard some small peeps. At first i didn't know what it was so i took my time going out to this little gully about 10 feet wide and 30 feet long. As i got closer the peeps got louder. I didn't see anything at first untill i stood up and see two teal ducks at the end of the gully. Well let me tell you that right under me to my left there were 30 more teal ducks that i did not see or hear, they were undercover of a bush that was hiding them. As i creaped up to the gully, i said to my self, self you better take a shot or you might not get another look for the rest of the day. So i took the shot, did i ever get the fright of my life.. There were teal comming at me from all over. They were that many there they came right up to the video cam and allmost hit it. Then the worst thing that could happen to any hunter while in the heart of alot of ducks, the shell got stuck in the chamber of the gun. At first i though that the shell snapped, but no it was stuck. Well,when the smoke cleared i killed the two teal and spent the next 20 min trying to get the shell out o my gun. All in all it was a good day hunting.
