I forgot to mention that the distance to the target was measured at 40yds.

The pics below are the results of those 2 loads. they are the same recipe as my #3 duck loads just larger shot size and therefore more powerful.
FIRST PIC STATS.
MUZZLE ENERGY-------------------------- 23.31 FT/LBS PER PELLET
TOTAL # OF PELLETS IN LOAD --------------110
# OF PELLETS INSIDE OF 30" CIRCLE 76 OR 69.09%
# OF PELLETS IN FRINGE------------------------ 19
TOTAL # OF PELLETS IN KILL ZONE 95 OR 86.36%
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PIC #2
# OF PELLETS INSIDE 30" CIRCLE------------------------------80 OR 72.72%
# OF PELLETS IN FRINGE ---------------------------------------22
TOTAL # OF PELLETS IN KILL ZONE ----------------------------102 OR 92.72%
As is clear from the results the second shot is more acceptable than the first , since the distribution is a little better and there are more pellets in the kill zone. I only Had 2 loads to test and I am not overly satisfied with the results because of the pattern in the first load. I will most likely test some more next spring and if they are consistently more like the second load they can be used as they are , otherwise they may have to be tweaked to fit my gun. This load, however may have a much better pattern in a different gun.
