Among the 126 federal public sector workers in this province who received notification this week that their jobs could be affected by upcoming cuts, are Habitat Management employees with DFO.  Public Service Alliance of Canada spokesperson Jeannie Baldwin says it's all part of changes to the Fisheries Act. She says government is going to eliminate the Habitat program which oversees the protection of spawning areas and fish habitat. Baldwin says she believes it's part of a larger agenda.  She believes it's related to the oil sands project in Alberta and the government not wanting to own up to environmental concerns.
