Ice Fishing 2019 - St. John's/Avalon Area

Added a blog post. Probably should have been here on Discussion board. Anybody have any info on ice thickness/safety as of today, Feb. 01/19? I can't get any info. Tried Paddy's Pond Forestry station, Red Cross and Rovers. No go. Any info appreciated.
