What is the best way to break in a young beagle.

 I've recently gotten a beagle, he is 15 month's old and is not broke yet, I've had him in a few time's but haven't had any luck with getting him to go yet, It's my first time trying to break a dog, and I was wondering if anybody had any advice on how to get him started off!

First thing don't give up on him, keep him in the woods as much as possible, show him rabbit runs and get him to sniff where you see fresh chews! It might take some time and patience but in the end its totally worth it!

Nick, the best think for that dog right now is some rabbit fur, foot or a full rabbit. But it has to be fresh, so the dog can get it real scent. Coastal outdoors has rabbit scent, get it you will need it. Put it on a ball and bounce it across a ballfield so the dog can sniff it out. Do this in the daylight and in the dark. When he gets it in the dark, he is good to go. Make that dog use his nose for everthing. If you have a treat for him, smear a trail on the ground and then hide it so he can sniff it out. The more that dog uses his nose the better the dog will become. Good luck and happy hunting. We broke our dogs at 4 months. Trust me this will work.

I tie a fur to a string let my pups chase it and catch it , and I shot first rabbit off my pup been drivin for 2 weeks , today , 4 months old !
