Mike she is getting better every day I take her in. Mike you've had a chance to use the Astro tracker. What do you think of it?
2 more starts for missy today. Only went in for a walk.
Sorry to here mike, but as a trapper i do mark all my snares. As well all my snares are on my fathers rabbit line so we have double the ribben on the tree's. Peter you are right, not all trappers/hunters are good trappers/hunters. There are people who just can't help them selves to others people gear and furs. This also goes for hunting blinds as well, people tear them down. Just no respect for others and for them selves. The only way they learn it to get cought stealing or beating something up. I just hope it's not me that catch's them.
I always carry the side cutters with in the woods and I gave Pete a pair as well. That is going to become a major concern as more and more trappers or people who think they are trappers become certified. A little common courtesy goes a long way.
From the true trappers side, there are those that would steal and destroy the trapper's gear and game.
Where the happy medium is, I have no idea. However if i see a sign in an area, I'm gone.
Had the pups in on sat, 9 months old had 8 starts and 8 rabbits. They are doing realy great. Peter sounds like you might have a good dog on your hands. Mike that is true, not everyone will take good care of there dogs. First sign of trouble and they are gone. Only a good owner will take great care of there dogs.
She's cost me about $2000 the s@b. Wife went nuts a few times. The only thing saved her is, young Pete's dog, lol. She had a hard time holding the rabbits. She gave the first one and the last one a good run. Caught a white blur going through the woods. I didn't care about shooting one (would have liked that last one all the same) we went through the worst & thickest woods so she would bump into a few and presto. She got some bark. Can't help but grin as I am writing this. See how she does Sat, Sun & Monday. I'm like you to Mike. Not everyone I would sell or give a dog to.
