Northern Pond Road is a popular spot. Drive in about 6 kms to get away from the garbage. Be carefull of rabbit snares, could be any where.

I would like to take my son hunting for hares this weekend. We are new to the area and would like to find a decent spot within about 1/2 hour drive of Kelligrews. Does anyone have any advice for a good spot with walk-in access. We don't want to intrude an anyone else's favourite area but any help would be appreciated.

Had 5 dogss in sat a old feller, a year old beagle mix and 3 puppy 2 4 month olds and a a year old every dog was runnin rabbits seen 7 got 4 betweek me, uncle and dad , the 2 4 months old ran 5 or so rabbits , the year old mix ran 3 that we shot , and 2 we never got at points they had 3 fifferent once going had a blast hear alll the dogs barkin , they wouldent hunt together though

She made half a dozen or so barks. We were pretty happy with that. She lost interest after and came back to me. But she did some looking to. Hope to get her in tomorrow for a look to. Hope to build on that. It's a great feeling hearing them bark for the first time. By the way the rabbits today were snow white.
