Well lewis i think that you should take it a little further. I would be getting after the wildlife Dep untill something is done about it. I also would contact ducks unlimited and tell them what the problem is in your area. You can google it and give your two cents. Tell them just what's going on. I will do a little looking into this as well.

Hope this helps

Hey lewis i know that if i were in your situation id be 1. very mad at the people who are doing it because it limits your hunts because of the ducks gathering here because why would the ducks or geese want to come to your spread and "feed" with your decoys when they get a easy meal there right? and 2. if i were you id say to that wildlife officer that this is worse than touching or picking up a single duck or goose because if it were that they would be gone but this bread can harm or kill a duck or goose so its just as much a danger to the duck than a child petting one or driveing them to the next pond were your able to hunt and were said duck is out of harms way. Id be espicaly upset with this if it were in my area because we dont have a booming population ,well we do but ducks are hard to come by because we have a huge lake in our area (the gisborne lake system) and 100s of ponds and rivers/ brookes. But all the same best of luck with the problem and throught the upcomeing season.

I have contacted the wildlife dep and they if the people are touching , petting or picking them up that there is nothing they can do .   I don't think this is true

isn't it illegal to feed wild animals?  I geuss if i was feeding a big moose in my backyard i might get away with it .......... I DON'T THINK SO..........//////////???????.

Contack your wildlife dep and explain what is going on in the town. In some parks in town they have signs up saying don't feed the duck bread. People will not feed them bread because of what it will do to the duck. Alot of people don't think that they are doing wrong feeding the duck bread but they are killing them. Bread for ducks is not healthy. By not feeding them bread will also put more ducks in the ponds around you, because they are not getting the same food supply that they are used to getting. Hope this helps.

How can we stop people in the grandfalls windsor area from feeding waterfowl?  Every bird for 30 miles is in the town eating bread and other things that waterfowl just don't eat.
