I'm going to try some Hevi-Metal in 3.5" BB for geese.  But if strictly for a few geese, and ya only get one chance a year at them like me, ya can't beat Hevi-Shot, 3.5" #2...

I picked up some #2  federals 3.5 inch i was hopeing to get some #4 but ive read the energy from steel shot drops alot compared to  lead so i picked up 2 sizes bigger to keep the same energy. I think #2 will get the job done nicely i did make sure i bought the biggest ammount of shot i can get in that load 1 and 3/8 ozs of shot still pushes at 1550 fps so i hope my seemingly undersized shot (compared to you guys useing bb and triple b black cloud) will be able to knock down some geese.

i use 3n half inch black cloud ,triple bb ; killed 3 geese with 1 shot last year ,excellet shell an real gud with ducks to wing

I use Blackcloud shot size BB in a 12 ga 3.5" shell.

Well seems like theres some good numbers of geese on the province to start the season from what i know and have been told the geese are thicker in november and same for ducks in my area at least. What size shot do you use?

Hey Shane im new to geese but im trying a box of number 2 federals 3.5 inch ,, 1 3/8 oz load. Seem to be good shot 1550 fps. Ive seen good numbers of geese my father seen 20-30 one day along the clarenville highway and i seen a good 40-50 today in a pond on the grand le pierre/ terrenceville road way were i live. Lets just hope they stick around. any one have experience with black clouds? what shells do you guys use ? what size?

Good to see hunters are harvesting geese on the Island. Since I got my dog molly she's after bring in 20 plus. What is every oneusing in shells?
