The annual big game licence draw for moose and caribou for the 2015-16 hunting season is now complete and notifications will be mailed out to all applicants in the coming days. Priority on notices will go to those successful in receiving a licence, followed by those who were unsuccessful. It is anticipated that all notices will be in the mail by the week of June 22.

More than 76,800 big game hunting applications were submitted for this year's draw for an available 28,275 resident moose licences and 470 resident caribou licences.

I think the results are out in June. I could be wrong on that.

I'm not up on when the last count was done. But since I've been hunting moose every year I see less and less. Last year we done a lot of going and we can count on 2 hands how many moose we seen. Normally we see dozens and dozens. Where we hunt you spot them from nobs and stalk. This year was the worst.

Waiting two years for getting a moose will be a joke and thing of the past.

People are worried about turrs. Time people wake up before moose hunting is a memory.
