I was showed an ice chart the other day. I was told that if we get some good northern wind and cold tempatures then we should see ice along newfoundland with in 2 weeks ! that will get the birds moving !
I can tell you it's not in placentia bay then.
This has been the best year for weather I have seen yet. Everyone in my area got ducks in the freezer.

I have a bunch of eider and some oldsquaw decoys. The boat if all rigged to go.Give me a call or a txt sometime Id love to go.
February is coming quick and I am hoping where the weather is a little more winter like this year. They may even be a tad early.
Fred if you ask me it's not time for them yet. They don't come in until feb. But we should do a hunt sometime. I have alot of decoy's for sea ducks, Eiders and old squaws and now white wing scoters.
