They will do an interview with you and your parents (take your completion of the course records). they will then give you a youth hunter card, and then you will be able to hunt on your own with a gun. Hope this helps. Talk to Peter Emberley, he will guide you through what you have to do, he just went through it with his son, ED.

At 7:05pm on January 10, 2011, Rich Reeves said…: If you do the FAC/Hunters course and can legally hunt, borrowing a registered rifle or shotgun is permitted as far as I know. I would ask the instructors (or wildlife officer) that are teaching the hunters course just to make sure. If I were going to borrow a firearm I would make sure of the laws first.
