Hey Edward, After you do the course you have to got to the Rcmp. They will do an interview with you and your parents (take your completion of the course records). they will then give you a youth hunter card, and then you will be able to hunt on your own with a gun. Hope this helps. Talk to Peter Emberley, he will guide you through what you have to do, he just went through it with his son, ED.

If you do the FAC/Hunters course and can legally hunt, borrowing a registered rifle or shotgun is permitted as far as I know. I would ask the instructors (or wildlife officer) that are teaching the hunters course just to make sure. If I were going to borrow a firearm I would make sure of the laws first.
