Thanks, Peter. The reason I joined at this time is because I believe in the stories about big cats and black panthers in NL. and wanted to back some other statements about it. My wife and I were on the way to our camper one evening last summer and we saw a huge black long tailed animal cross the road in front of us and we never even thought about the camera or a picture.
Thanks for the feedback on the kayak fishing, Peter. I appreciate that you are always helping when you can. I visit St John's fairly often so I will make sure to start bringing my kayak in the summer. Do you think there may be some cod right in that bay? Not really sure what depths to fish. Seems like it gets pretty deep quickly out there.
Hi thanks, me n da missus just looking for outdoors like minded others to take atv/skidoo/boat etc. trips.

Thanks Peter. I wanted to become a member of this great site to find out more about avalon hunting and meet some people that could show me some good hunting areas.
Thanks for that Peter. Just as I thought but you are smack on with the poacher reference. I heard the same thing recently; a wildlife officer practically accusing a guy with a .223 and a coyote licence of intending to poach a moose. No need for the officer(s) to get on with that nonsense. Geez, next thing if you have a car they can accuse you of intending to drink and drive. Go figure! Anyway, we will have a scope around up on the Southern Shore and see if there's any coyotes in our little neck of the woods. Going to use a cheap, hand-held call until we learn how to use the hand-held and can decide on a good electronic one to help a little bit more. Looking at the Primos Alpha Dogg - good reviews. Going to like this site.
Thanks Peter. Glad to be aboard. Total novice at coyote hunting but plan to get into it starting Friday when we leave for the moose hunt. I read here in a 2013 post that as a member of a moose hunting party you can't carry your .223 for coyote even if you have the coyote licence. One of the boys has a moose licence and two of us have coyote and small game. Any truth to this one?
