i havent been able to get out in my area or new melbourne trinity bay but the past few years werent the greatest.i think the warm weather had screwed everything up.this year is not looking the best.i did bag 4 hounds and one white wing diver opening day down the sothern shore which seem to be plentyfull of hounds.my favorite part aint bagging birds but seeing the companys flying just after sunrise or flying through the fog.thats what makes my days.i bought a new camera this year so hopefully if the weather is fine ill take a few photes and post them.everyone enjoy the outdoors and be safe
I think that the weather is doing it all over for sea ducks. In placentia where my buddy fishe's he said he never see a bird in the water. Hope you have a great season. I think that up the shorte is where they are all so far.
yeah.i think the main thing thats hurting it the most is the fact that the past few years there hasent been any ice comming down and driving the birds down with it.i havent seen ice in trinity bay that i can remeber in 2 or 3 years atleast.maybe a little bit but not much.the warmth has to do with that to i suppose.yes its no trouble to get a shot almost everyday if your hunting all day but im not seeing the big companys or eiders and hounds like it was 4 years ago when i started hunting.in that short amount of time theres has been some big changes.the first year i started hunting when i was 16 i used to get of school and go around the rocks and almost everyday i would get a shot.now you gotta spend the whole day just to see something.hopefully the weather turns for the best of it.where do you live to kenneth
Theres a few birds down this way on the southwest coast. Hoping to get out on the rocks now the next good weekend.
