Hi everyone. I'm new to the site and relatively new to shooting/hunting in general. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any suitable spots for practice shooting on the Northeast Avalon, because it can be inconvenient sometimes to head out to the rod and gun club. I'm looking for a spot where I can safely and legally shoot some clays and possibly some targets with a .22lr for fun. If anyone has any information that would be great! Thanks.

There is a place on the Foxtrap Access Road and some people like to use Northern Pond Road across from Paddy's Pond.
Unfortunately unless you are "Coyote Hunting". 22 centrefire or 12 gauge with larger than #2 shot. And then only until end of coyote season.
I think you are out of luck.
I stand to be corrected but without a valid hunting license you are not legally allowed to discharge a firearm unless at a Rod and Gun Club
I would check with wildlife or the Chief Firearms Office.
Better safe than sorry.
I took for granted that anyone shooting clays or targets with a 22 rim fire. would automatically get a permit to do so.
lol. Peter a friend of mine would say...
"Assumption is the mother of all F*^& Ups."
If you get a permit to transport, you can shoot in a pit or of the road 1 km. It states on the permit.
