I remember doing this as a kid with uncle and grandfather. I heard your not allowed to trap rabbits using paw traps, when was this cut out? What's the reasoning for it?

Nobody knows?

I used to set steel traps for rabbits years ago and found them far more effective than snares. The ban, however has been in effect since the late 1980s, if I remember correctly. In fact I threw away all my rabbit traps about ten years ago.

The reasoning, this is a part of the " THE NEW WORLD ORDER "  the gentler society, in which any activity that inflicts pain on any other living creature will be banned , to be more specific    Hunting and Fishing . This movement has moved into the" Fanatic Stage " and now includes insects and plants that no one even knew existed.

But why is it humane to snare these fur bearing wildlife but not use a paw or leg trap?
