Does the dog have a tattoo on her? and other SPECIFIC markings, or colour schemes. Does the dog answer to you? Id contact the police and tell them the situation. they have to look into it and if you can prove beyone a reasonable doubt the dog is yours, then you have a good fighting chance to get her back. Hopefully your dog is registered, and either has a tattoo or microchip.
Yes she do answer to me and there not many coohounds female and yes she has a colour schemes but i hope to see her out side so i can call her
If it was my dog, she be going home with me. End of story.
Well, I can't go inside the mans cabin and take her. I'll have to what and next time I'm in the area drive by and see if she's outside. At least I know where she's to.
hard situation to be in bud. Id do what i could tho. contact the police, im sure you have pictures. let them investigate it.
contacting the police sounds like i good idea if you can prove shes your dog, now if it were my dog id beat the door down and take her but thats just me wouldnt want to see you get in any trouble or anything.
Yea that what i want to do but when you got 4yrs with you coolhead help but I hope he dont move her if he think that I was up there and or someone tell him i was up around looking for the dog will I have his name and were hes cabin is so i can hope he f*ck up and let her go out for a run
HI Tony: The first step was finding your dog which you did. Now its time to call the authorities (RCMP) etc. I am sure if you had this dog for a couple of years you have enough friends who can verify this is your dog. There can't be that many dogs of that breed around. The other cabin owners near where you found the dog would be contacted by the RCMP for their story, It would be interesting to hear where the person got the dog, after all, dogs start out as puppies with new owners unless the dog was given away.

If this man had a cabin in that area for a number of years then the other owners would certainly have seen this dog before this year. I dont think if you live up in the country in a cabin you would leave your dog home for the past couple of years and only bring it up recently.

I would not advise you confronting the man with the dog, Rather, you insist to the RCMP that you want to be there when they go to the man's cabin and question him.

I bet the cabin owner is thinking you wont go to the RCMP. Prove him wrong and get your dog back..

Best of luck..
