Hello members. I am looking for coyote sightings and with the help of Ed and others I will try to put together a map of where the coyotes might be based on these sightings.  We need time, and location of sighting.  With this info we should be able to put together a comprehensive map that may help coyote hunters.  I know from experience that locating coyotes on the avalon is difficult.  I would love to be able to click on a link that will tell me where coyotes have been seen recently. This would help me as I would know where there is a good chance to get one. We all know that coyotes never stay in one place for long, but with help from everyone, and the wildlife division, I think this would be an excellent hunting aid and we may even see a pattern in their sightings.

Here would be an example

location: on TCH heading west (near Witless Bay Line turnoff)

time and date:  10:30 pm Oct. 12/10

Thanks in advance for all info and your cooperation.

Hey everyone kept it coming with the coyote sightings
I seen a big coyote from my crane at school this morning, around 10:30, up on Salmonier Line. He took off when I hit the horn, lol. Hope this info is helpful!! :)

Location: dumpster behind The Pantry (bakery & diner) on the main road in Holyrood (across from the beach).
Time & Date: 9:30 PM on November 5th
Details: lone (apparently juvenile) coyote was "shooed" out of the dumpster behind the bakery (presumably looking for food) by the pastry chef while cleaning up after hours. Told me about it the next day.
2 more sightings in the Holyrood area:

- My wife was coming home from work at 3 AM last Friday and saw one crossing the Holyrood Access Rd by the golf course. Ran alongside the car (my wife had slowed down) for about 100 feet.

- My mother-in-law saw a big one on Salmonier Line near the TCH overpass on the Holyrood side. She thought it was a wolf at first, until she recalled that we don't have those anymore. She jammed on the brakes, and it stood in the road and stared at her for several seconds before trotting off.

These things seem to have no fear of any kind.
